BMW Berlin-Marathon 2011 Live Stream Online

Watch BMW Berlin-Marathon 2011 live streaming online. Its 38th edition will take place on Sunday 25th September 2011 and will be attended by more than 40,000 fastest runners from around the world.

Number of spectators along the scenic loop course is estimated to be 1.5 million. The event will be covered live nationally by n-tv (8.30 a.m. – 12.20 p.m.), Eurosport and some radio stations in Germany.

Eurosport will broadcast the race live (9-11.30 a.m.) in more than 80 other territories worldwide on September 25. No update yet if Fuji TV will broadcast also the said event.

Known as one of the big-5 marathons which comprise the World Marathon Majors series, the others being London, New York, Boston and Chicago marathons, the Berlin Marathon’s loop course is flat and fast, with as many as seven world records being created in men and women marathons since the run started.

Last year's race, 34,002 runners were able to finish the course. Patrick Makau Musyoki of Kenya was the men's winner of the race, finishing the course in 2:05:08, while Aberu Kebede (2:23:58) of Ethiopia was the 2010 women's winner.

Course/Route Map

The real, -BERLIN-MARATHON route is a very flat and fast loop course. The course starts and finishes next to one of the capital’s most famous landmarks – the Brandenburg Gate – and takes a route via many more notable spots such as the Reichstag and Berliner Dom.
